WEAR — Prosecutors released dramatic new body cam video showing Georgia deputies repeatedly shocking an out-of-control Destin man until his death.

Chase Sherman, 32, was hit with stun guns 15 times in less than 7 minutes as deputies struggled to restrain him. The coroner later ruling his death a homicide.

"As we all know and as the world has seen already, another monumental video that captured a young man being tortured in the back seat of a car, his upper torso being crushed, and being Tasered so many times he died. And those aren't my words. Those are the words of the death certificate from the coroner," said L. Chris Stewart, the family's attorney.

In the video, Sherman can be heard screaming "I quit," as deputies struggle with him. Sherman's family hopes the video will lead to charges against the deputies involved.

Sherman's family said they called 911 after their son's reaction to the drug spice got worse. They wanted help getting him to the hospital.

"The videos today gave us the answer because what you see is a man in the back seat having a mental breakdown, which anybody can have. Anybody can have a mental breakdown. Somebody can put something in your drink. You may drink too much. You may do something that has a bad chemical reaction with you. And I guess what America learned today is that you get the death penalty from certain police officers," Stewart added.

During the incident Sherman's mother pleads with the Coweta County Deputies to go easy on her son, but they warn it's for their protection.

"The worst nightmare came true. You never, never think you would go before your child. He's gone," said Mary Ann Sherman.

Coweta County Sherif Mike Yeager is standing by his officer's actions and says they did nothing wrong. The case remains under an investigation, but Sherman's family says they plan to file a wrongful death suit.
