Report: Former Foley, AL resident regrets viral cocaine statement in Colorado
Aspen, CO
A former Foley resident reportedly regrets the statement he was said to have made about cocaine when he was arrested in Colorado -- a statement that went viral after it was recounted online.
According to a report from The Aspen Times Monday, Eliphalet Ford, 34, has expressed regret through his attorney for saying, "Of course I have cocaine up my nose. It's Aspen."
An officer said Ford made that statement early on the morning of Oct. 5, 2015, when a law enforcement light was shined up Ford's nose to illuminate a white substance in his nostrils, according to the report by The Aspen Times.
The publication reports that Ford, who has entered guilty pleas for felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor obstructing an officer, may see his felony charge expunged after spending two years on probation.
Ford is reported to be a resident of Snowmass Village, Colo.
