As anyone who has filled up recently can tell you, gasoline is as cheap as it has been in a while.
Gas prices in Alabama are some of the lowest in the country, averaging about $1.66 per gallon. As low as that price is, there are some spots in Alabama where drivers find themselves paying even less.
GasBuddy.com recently looked at the cheapest gasoline chains in each state. The national winner was Costco, a spot the warehouse chain has held for four years in a row. In 2015, Costco's prices average 19.8 cents lower than competitors.
But it was another warehouse chain that claimed the title of Alabama's cheapest gas station. According to Gas Buddy, the cheapest brand of gas in Alabama can generally be found at Sam's Club. Nationally, Sam's Club gasoline was about 10.78 cents cheaper than that of its competitors.
There are 14 Sam's Clubs in Alabama.
