As the college football season ended withAlabama holding up the national championship trophy, the only team that beat them has something to brag about as well.
Ole Miss finished the season ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 1969.
The Rebels ranked number 9 in the Amway coaches poll and 10 in the Associated Press poll.
Ole Miss won 10 games for the first time since 2003, finishing the year at 10-3. The season was capped off with a 48-20 win over Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl.
This marks the first time the Rebels have been ranked in a final poll since 2009, when they ranked 20 in the AP poll and 21 in the coaches poll.
Ole Miss received a boost this week when they learned that quarterback Chad Kelly intends to return to Oxford for his senior season.
