Alabama congressman’s takedown of MSNBC host named one of the top 50 soundbites of all time
WASHINGTON
Friday on the Glenn Beck show, guest hosted by Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere, the program discussed the “50 greatest audio clips of all time” as voted on Beck’s massive listening audience. One such clip, featuring a member of the Alabama congressional delegation and an MSNBC host, came in at #11 on the list.
The encounter occurred during the Summer of 2011, when MSNBC host Contessa Brewer, disagreeing with Congressman Mo Brooks’s (R-AL5) characterization of how President Obama’s increase in deficit spending was bad for the nation, condescendingly asked if he had an economics degree.
“Yes ma’am I do. Highest honors.”
Indeed, Rep. Brooks graduated from Duke University in only three years with a double degree in Economics and Political Science before attending the University of Alabama School of Law.
Contessa Brewer said after the fact on Facebook page that she “just learned why lawyers are told never to ask a question they don’t know the answer to.”
Here are the top 5.
5. Jeffy in the bathroom 4. Al Sharpton teleprompter montage 3. Poop in Pants – Al Roker 2. Alex Jones – pedophile government 1. Hank Johnson – CAPSIZE!
