A group called "Gulf Coast Against Trump" plans to protest at Republican front-runner Donald Trump's campaign stop on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Saturday.
Dejuana May started the Facebook group and has organized the protest. A statement on the group's page regarding Trump says, "We cannot allow this cancer to society to become our commander in chief. This blatantly racist, elitist hypocrite is trying to divide us even more and would do more harm than good if elected."
May was told her protest could not take place on Mississippi Coast Coliseum property.
"They can't cause any impediment for any patrons coming to the event, any type of delay for traffic coming in or exiting the property," Coliseum Director Matt McDonnell told WLOX.
The "Gulf Coast Against Trump" rally is set to begin at 4 p.m. and will be across from the building on the south side of U.S. 90. May hopes the rally will be respectful. She is not concerned about a possible clash with Trump supporters.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Free tickets are available at eventbrite.com.
