Eagle Update (Gulf Shores): I got up before the sun this morning and headed out to the Eagle Nest. I knew the birds were acting skittish right now, particularly the male, so I dress in my Ghillie suit (see previous photo) and spent about two and a half hours being a bush. I got a number of nice shots, including this one which I think is the female. Everything seems to be going well at the nest. Please remember that Federal law prohibits anyone from getting closer than 330 feet from an eagle nest (in other words, stay on the fire trail). As skittish as this new male is, people encroaching on the nest could cause him to abandon the egg(s).
