Wetumpka - Coosa River Flooding

WETUMPKA, AL (WSFA) -
With the recent rains in Alabama, the Coosa River has risen to a level that has left many parts of the City of Wetumpka underwater.
According to officials, Gold Star Park is currently underwater due to the Coosa River rising to 43.52 feet.
Officials expect the Coosa River to crest at 45.3 feet sometime on Saturday.
Along with Gold Star Park, other areas in downtown Wetumpka have experienced damage including some downtown properties.
