Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche is hospitalized in Jackson according to media reports. Jackson television station WAPT reported Tuesday that Ridgeland police were called to a local address where they found an “unresponsive male.” The man was transported to University Medical Center and was later confirmed by the NFL Network to be Nkemdiche.
His more famous younger brother, Robert, a likely first-round draft pick, was suspended for the Sugar Bowl after an incident at an Atlanta hotel led to a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.
Denzel Nkemdiche, a senior in athletic eligibility, did not play in the last two games of the regular season after being hospitalized in Oxford for reasons never stated publicly.
