Tuscaloosa PD investigates possible attempted abduction after man approaches 2 girls

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
Tuscaloosa police are investigating a possible attempted abduction after a man approached two little girls, ages 5 and 9, and put his hands over the 5-year-old's mouth on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser with two men and a woman inside pulled up to a home in the 2700 block of 21st Street where the little girls were sitting on the front porch around 3 p.m.
A man police described as a dark skinned black male with long dreadlocks with colored tips, wearing a dark shirt, approached the girls and put his hands over the 5-year-old girl's mouth.
One of the people inside the PT Cruiser yelled "Sugar Daddy" at him and the man quickly returned to the PT Cruiser and they drove eastbound on 21st Street, Lt. Teena Richardson said. Neither of the girls were hurt in the incident.
Police have not confirmed it was an attempted kidnapping, but say the case is still under investigation. Police don't have a tag number for the PT Cruiser.

"Today, December 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the 2700 block of 21st Street Tuscaloosa, AL on a possible attempted abduction. Two juvenile females ages 9 and 5 years of old were sitting on the front porch of their residence, when a blue PT Cruiser pulled up to the residence occupied by three subjects.
The driver of the vehicle walked to the porch and approached the 5 year old victim and placed his hands over her mouth. One of the subjects inside the suspect vehicle yelled “Sugar Daddy” at the suspect and then quickly returned to his vehicle and drove east bound on 21st Street.
Neither of the children were injured in this incident. The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male with long dread locks with colored tips wearing a dark shirt. The vehicle driven by the suspect is described as a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser unknown tag occupied by three subjects, two males and one female. Attempted kidnapping has not been confirmed, the case is still being investigated.
