Southern Miss invited to Heart of Dallas Bowl
DALLAS (Heart of Dallas Bowl) - Southern Miss has accepted an invitation to play in the 2015 Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl against the Washington Huskies for the sixth annual post-season collegiate football game to be played Saturday, Dec. 26 at historic Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 1:20 p.m. CT on ESPN.
As the “most improved” college football program in 2015, head coach Todd Monken’s Golden Eagles finished the regular season with a 9-3 record (7-1 league record) and earned a spot in the Conference USA Championship game.
Southern Miss, which will be playing its first-ever game in Cotton Bowl Stadium, dropped a 45-28 decision at Western Kentucky Saturday in the for the C-USA title.
