Hillary Clinton is speaking today at the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church in Montgomery.

The former secretary of state and Democratic presidential candidate is in Montgomery for the 60th anniversary of Rosa Parks' arrest for refusing to give her seat on a city bus to a white man.

The incident sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott that led to a U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning segregation on the buses.

Clinton is speaking at a program sponsored by the National Bar Association on the role of lawyers in the civil rights movement.

The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was pastor of the Dexter Avenue Church, a block from the State Capitol, and helped organize and lead the successful 13-month boycott.

King's daughter, the Rev. Bernice King, will give today's benediction.

Other speakers at today's program will include U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, D-Birmingham, famed civil rights lawyer Fred Gray, who was Parks' attorney, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange and Montgomery County Commission Chairman Elton Dean.
