Teacher accused of sexting, having sex with teenage boy

A Holmes County, Fla. teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Anna Leigh Whitaker, 21, of Bonifay, Fla. was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition and lewd and lascivious battery, the Dothan Eagle reported. Her bond was set at $9,000.

According to the report, Whitaker is accused of sexting and having sexual intercourse with him. She is also accused of sexting with another boy.

Whitaker is a teacher at Bonifay Elementary School.

"At this time, it is not ethical to comment on an ongoing investigation concerning one of our employees," Eddie Dixon, the superintendent of the Holmes District School Board, told the newspaper. "Every decision made by the Holmes County School Board focuses on ensuring the safety, security and best possible learning environment for all students."

Holmes County, Fla. borders Geneva County in Alabama.
