California man arrested at Biloxi casino for 'false pretense'

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -
A California man was arrested Saturday at the Golden Nugget Casino after attempting to obtain a line of credit with a previously redeemed check.
According to police, 45-year-old Hung Phong Vinh Bui gave the casino a cashiers check in the amount of $50,000 for a line of credit.
However, when they attempted to verify the check, casino officials learned that the same check had been redeemed at a different casino earlier in the day.
Bui was detained by security until police arrived, and was charged with false pretense. He is being held in the Harrison County Adult Detention Center pending a $100,000
