Authorities remain tight-lipped about the arrest of a St. Clair County teen charged with soliciting support for a terrorist act, but arrest records indicate the activity took place over the past nine months.

Peyton Pruitt was arrested Nov. 13, and is being held in the St. Clair County Jail with bond set at $1 million.

According to the arrest report made public today, Pruitt was arrested Friday at 4:10 p.m.

This is what that report says: "On or about Nov. 12, 2015, with intent that material support or resources be used, in whole or in part, to plan, prepare, carry out, or aid in either an act of terrorism or the concealment of, or an escape from, an act of terrorism, he/she raised, solicited, collected, or provided material support or resources, to-wit: Peyton Jack Pruitt solicited or provided support for an act of terrorism in the second-degree." The total value, according to the report, was $1,000 or less."

According to Alabama law, second-degree soliciting or providing support for an act of terrorism is a Class C felony. A monetary value of more than $1,000 would constitute a Class B felony, according to the statute.

The St. Clair Sheriff's Office is investigating the case, and the FBI is assisting. Authorities have refused to identify or explain the specific allegations against Pruitt, citing the ongoing investigation.

Efforts to reach Pruitt's family and his attorney weren't immediately successful. Pruitt has a court date set for Dec. 22.
