Mac McAnally wins eighth consecutive CMA Musician of the Year Award

Alabama native Mac McAnally took home his eight consecutive Musician of the Year Award at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards.
McAnally -- a guitarist, songwriter, singer and producer -- was up against Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Dann Huff and Paul Franklin.
McAnally has recorded 11 studio albums and is a favorite songwriter in Nashville. He wrote and appeared on Kenny Chesney's hit cover of "Down the Road," and is a member of Jimmy Buffett's backing band, The Coral Reefer Band.
McAnally, 57, was born in Red Bay and grew up in Belmont, Miss. He maintains strong ties to Alabama, and has a home and studio in Sheffield.
